S1 E1 - Alfred "Nacho" Lopez

In this episode of Beyond the Runway, anchor, Enyce Smith hosts the inspirational Alfred “Nacho” Lopez. Today, we hear from Nacho about his unfortunate childhood, experiences in the foster home, the gritty side of prostitution and coming out as a young gay teen. Born and primarily raised in Los Angeles California, Nacho was brought up in an alcoholic and abusive environment where he sustained constant abuse from both his mother and father because of his sexual orientation. Despite his horrific circumstances, he continuously chose to see the best in people and welcomed new experiences with an open mind. However, as a young and confused adolescent, Nacho found himself surrounded by the opportunity to make a quick buck by prostituting himself, but luckily found salvation in the House and Ball scene. Also addressed in this episode is Nacho’s open HIV status.
