**S1 EP 4 - Evion Vasquez and Greg Wilson, Deputy Director REACH LA**

In this episode of Beyond the Runway, anchor, Enyce Smith hosts two uplifting, impassioned and moving guests, Evion Vasquez and Greg Wilson.  Smiths first guest Evion, was born in Cleveland, Ohio but raised in Miami, Florida with his gay father and twin sister. From the moment he entered this world Evion knew that he was attracted to boys and felt no shame. This ideology of “no shame” has stuck with him his entire life, as he has faced some of life’s toughest circumstances. Finding out at the mere age of 18, that he was HIV positive, Evion decided to turn his misfortune into a positive opportunity to educate others and embrace the world with his knowledge of HIV prevention. He switched his major from architecture to social work, because eradicating the stigma attached to the word HIV is one of his life’s missions. With the support of his family and friends, Evion has been undetectable for nine years. He is a constant reminder for everyone that is contemplating getting tested or is HIV positive, that living with the virus is NOT the end of the world. His strength, bravery and determination has given him an amazing life with bountiful opportunities, which is only a possibility because of his will power to succeed.

Host, Enyce Smith’s second guest Greg Wilson is the Deputy director of REACH LA. Wilson's  work with REACH LA started with his passion for working directly with members of the House and Ball community. His passion grew from living in a constant state surrounded by whispers of the word HIV and people mysteriously dying, but he was never educated on the subject matter. For him, REACH LA is a place where people can get educated, gain life skills, and be unconditionally supported day in and day out regardless of their status. It is a judgment free environment, where everyone is welcomed and no one is discriminated against. Greg runs the Ovahness leadership meeting every Wednesday, which seeks to make members of the REACH LA community advocates in their neighborhoods on HIV education and prevention. 

On this episode of Beyond the Runway we get an insiders look into the life a brave and open man living with HIV, who makes it his mission to educate and eradicate the stigma that lies with the idea of living openly with HIV. 

We also get a very different glance with a second guest who is the brains behind the operations at REACH LA! He makes it his mission to guide and provide unconditional support for all members of the REACH LA community. Go take a look!
