S1 E3 - Father Jamari Blahnik

In this episode of Beyond the Runway, anchor, Enyce Smith hosts vogueing champion and professional dancer Jamari Blanik. Signed to BLOC talent agency, Jamari first opens up about his experience working in the entertainment industry as a dancer for both Christina Aguilera and the Black Eyed Peas. He speaks about his experiences touring with Aguilera choreographing for the Black Eyed Peas. We are introduced to his dance company, Twisted Minds, which is an all male crew that primarily focuses on hip-hop and vogueing. Also discussed in this episode is, Jamari entrance into the ball scene, what Houses he has joined and what it has been like to become a “Father” figure to kids starting out in the ball scene. Jamari reiterates how important it is to distinguish the real world from the House and Ball scene, because Balls should be lived in a fantasy world!
